Question about automation

Hi,

I need to do some processing on an SQLite file that gets backed up from an
iPad. I'm trying to think of a way to automate this. Does anyone know if
there is a way to trigger another desktop application to run after an iTunes
backup (on a PC)?

PS a longer version of this question was posted on the Livecode forums in
the database section (in case anyone is interested in the gruesome details
of what I'm trying to do).
