Hi Cal,
That's correct and it's because the terms of the Community Edition GPL
license require that source code is available to all users.  As a result,
RunRev had no choice but to remove the ability to run password protected
stacks.

As a supplier of a couple of plugins that have password protected scripts,
obviously I have to remove password protection from my plugins if I want
them to be available to the open source community.  But that raises other
issues which I'm still trying to get straight in my head.

I think the only thing you can do is contact the developers of whatever
plugins you use that are password protected and ask them what they plan to
do for open source access.
