Id recommend trying Appwrapper,  it makes like a lot easier and its free for 15 days so you can fully try it.

Its pretty complicated now with with Mac App Store wanting one cert,  and Mountain Lion direct downloads needing another,  and add in sandboxing and retina icons etc and it gets to be a bit of a headache,  and this does make it a bit better.

Oh,  and I dont work (or have anything to do) with them!
