My email client of choice, The Bat! (http://www.ritlabs.com) gives me
digests as a hierarchal list of individual emails. So responding to
one item in the digest is like responding to an email that came in on
its own. The only difference is that instead of being bothered with
emails coming in constantly they will show up a few times a day.
