Livecode Hosting

Was moving to HostM really necessary ?
A couple of years ago, Livecode Hosting provided a certificat saying 
that their
service was fully compliant with european GDPR...
And AFAIR, GDPR doesn't require that data must be hosted within 
Europe...
Unless I missed something...
