Translate code from Mac to PC

Yeah, I tried that but every time I try to open a PDF I get an error 
from Windows Photo Viewer which says it can't open that kind of a file.  
Can you open PDF's with Windows Photo Viewer?  If so maybe I need to 
update my copy or something.
