I just added this line to sound/speak when a ball is hit:

revspeak "OUCH" -- which could be replaced with a sound for sure

right after this part and IT WORKS here

if tDistList is not empty then
       put min(tDistList) into sMin
       put tCollArray[sMin] into j
        revspeak "OUCH"
