read write process

I build in OSX and am trying to test the WinXP version of my app in 
Virtual PC.

I intermittently get a read process write process error on start up of 
the standalone in WIN XP. If I double click the app again after this 
error it starts up normally.

Has anyone experienced a problem like this?
