Build Distribution - externals

I have successfully written an external. However each time I build a
distribution the external dll is removed from the executable directory,
and I have to put it in there manually again. I use this directory for
final testing of my application so I build quite often. 

Is there any way to tell the Build Distribution process of the DLLs that
I want put in the release ?
