You can connect to a remote database. You have to specify the IP address
of the database your connected to as the host parameter.

Check out revdb_ in the transcript dictionary. The database manager under
the tools menus also has scripts which demonstrate multiple cursors,
multiple connections, binding, executing sql statements and processing
resultsets, and inserting and retrieving images from a database.
