Perhaps modifying the ask command syntax:

Currently: ask [iconType] prompt [with defaultResponse] [titled 
windowTitle] [as sheet]

Suggested: ask [iconType] prompt [with defaultResponse] [titled 
windowTitle] [as sheet] using cancel "cancel string" ok "ok string"
