My short affair with Pascal ended when I saw what it was going to take to write Pascal apps for the current Apple graphical OS. It was then I realized I would never develop in a full blown compilter based system as I simply didn't have the time.

Also, I remember writing a silly little game for OS 5 when trying to teach myself Pascal, and that it ran for a short while until I updated to OS 6 and it broke spectacularly. That was the end of my Pascal experience.
