curlyquotes, character sets, livecode, and english

Ha!  I did start out with 6 bit characters on the CDC 3300, but my sense of identity is with ASCII which I used in my tiny contribution to the computer revolution of the 70s.  

I coped by leaping over other character considerations right to Unicode.
