I didnt want to completely mimic apple's music thing. Wanted the focus image to move from stack end to stack end (right to left and back) as it would if you were doing the flip across a collection on a real shelf. But i only had a day to figure it out. There are lots of cognative problems. To much flashing and not a real feeling of weight and motion. Also, there is a weird shift of the ends as the focus coomes to the terminal album on either end. But the part that i knew would work had to do with the eye interpreting shape as depth even though the images themselves were not being wrapped into perspective (just squeezed horizontally). I should post some other stuff that is much cooler. But so much could be done if only some good graphics and 3D people were to give xtalk some modern and easy control over image shape and lens warping, and color filtering, and vector masked compositing. Wold usher in a new era. I drool over flash graphics (and universal web distribution), but my god, who can think in that horible mx language?
