Well, if you call it from the script of a field, then yes... but it 
would be rare that you'd want to lock a field completely while you're 
already in it (although I can think of things like timed typing 
exercises where this might be useful), and of course with the 
traversalOn turned off and no ability to focus on the field when it's 
fully locked up, you couldn't execute it the other way (i.e. once it's 
fully locked, you can't get a "me" to operate properly unless you send 
a message to the field).

Just my thoughts...
