Yep, a little orthogonality with properties would go a long way for 
learnability/usability.

FWIW, there was a note here recently about making isometric-grid games. 
Unfortunately one of the most efficient methods -- assigning a 
backgroundPattern to a graphic object -- is not available because 
backgroundPatterns are drawn from the topleft of the card and not the 
topleft of the control.

So I just submited this request for an option to have backgroundPatterns 
drawn from the topleft of the control:

If you have an interest in gaming or simulations, you might want to
