Electronic Billing

I'm an old Hypercard programmer (used WindowScript and Reports Datapro
lots), new to Rev and may have the opportunity to put together an app that
will need to do electronic billing to insurance companies. At this point, I
have no clue how this is done. Anybody had any experience with something
like this? Is Revolution a good consideration or are there other tools that
Rev could interact with via Applescript or in some other way?
