I do not see a problem here.
LC Server scripts are normal textfiles that can be edited with a text editor.
Why should they stop running. If you cancel your hosting contract you can copy your scripts to any other web server that has LC Server installed. If the other webserver does not have LC Server installed, you could install a LC Server community release on that server.
The only thing that could be is that your scripts make use of features from a newer release of LC Server that are not available in the (community) version of LC Server that is installed on your new web server.
