Bob Sneidar:
> This has already been addressed long ago ad nauseam.
Bob = false. Kill switch was not discussed much, if any.
We have a right to understand and respond to basic facts -
including the NEW version of LiveCode Create FAQ:
"Apps require active [LiveCode Create] licensing to run.
If your license lapses, your apps will no longer be licensed
and they will not continue to run."
https://livecode.com/faq
But several shills mistakenly try to suppress that,
hoping for personal benefit; they are the new freeloaders.
Even brown nosing here, by ...
trying to drive away paying users?
Yes - to shush and attack fully paying users who speak up
on points that would benefit all and LiveCode!
SMH.
Folks who want to pay their way have to look realistically -
Kill switch, legal blackholes, end user pricing flaws.
Not just me -
Riko Abadi:
> This means already-built apps are permanently dependent on ongoing
> license renewal just to execute... Under the current terms, LiveCode
> Create is not a viable option for serious, long-lived applications.

But it's not worth a huge effort, or shill attacks, because ...
Bob Sneidar:
> There are other alternatives
Yes, there are!
Without legal blackholes and end user pricing headaches.
But why do shills quickly push loyal users away?
loyal users from HC, SC, to LC hate to move on without a word.
Window is closing to fix LiveCode pricing/terms issues.
People have been retooling elsewhere; no choice.
For me, audits/blank check and kill switch will not fly.
Not a personal, private 'hush' matter - flawed terms!
Read the LiveCode EULA and learn; legal blackhole.

If shills and freeloaders decide, everyone loses...
Folks who wanted to pay their way will have to move on.
Folks who expected better/more honest will be disappointed.
Without them, who will pay the way?
'Big fish' aren't blind.
I've donated my awareness effort in free public service here,
not easy typing, not for personal benefit or brown nosing,
with every chance of spiteful retaliation!
But I'm glad to speak up for the honest and realistic view.
That is what counts. Hope this requested advice improves LiveCode.
Bright future / happy new year...
Happy Holy-days of Christ's Mass!
Best wishes,
Curry Kenworthy
