Android and Mac question

Hi all,

I have one Android related and one MERGEXT related question I already posted in the forum.
Maybe someone can take a look?

The docs are not helpful at all.

Using MERGEXT on a Mac to read a QR-code:

According to the docs most merg-stuff is for Mac and iOS***, however I get
and error when using the script!? -> platform not supported???

***At least the commands I use in my example!

Are the (very sparse) docs wrong? 
That would be a shame, however I rather suspect I forgot something...

Any hints very welcome.
