Is "import snapshot" without parameters broken?

Hi,

today i've tried to do a screen capture using "import snapshot", but without parameter.
Livecode displays a crosshairs cursor, but i am not able to select an area with the mouse. Liveconde freezes then in some way and i have to force quit it..

Is this a bug or did the syntax change for importing a snapshot with the possibility to select the area  with the mouse? I am on Mac OS 10.14.6.
