Get url "file:///..."

Yeah, checking 'the result' sounds like a good idea.  

I don't have a problem with ///, though, on my macOS (as we say instead of OS X these days).  Maybe that part depends on the OS.  

I have a feeling that we might be missing the core of the problem.
