Or more bluntly:  actual postgres support and mac 64 bit aren't "extras";
they're fundamentals.  The lack of these are hard core bugs, of the "leave
the platform" grade.

I've already had to put plenty of time coding around the lack of adequate
postgres support; it's a bit late to ask me to chip in for something that
should have been there in the first place.

And it never even *occurred* to me that I might not be generating 64 bit
mac binaries (checks watch, put that aside, and checks the year on the
calendar).
