Fixing the (*#^%*(m show-stopping bugs in the IDE (shadow variables, not
watching globals, wandering off)

Locally scoped variables (a la c)

c-type tokens or whatever they're called that globally map strings to
integers.
Integer indexed arrays (would be faster than comparing keys)

The ability to trade the ability to have evaluations for speed (if
something will have a known value, let it compile "all the way" at compile
time

Ability to display eps/ pdf output processing and manipulation
