Mac Mavericks, Xcode, iOS Development and LC

I think then it works in MacOSX 10.8 but not 10.7 (Lion), which I was using before I switched to Mavericks. So far I haven't found much to annoy me in Mavericks apart from the way it repeats the menu on your second monitor even when you're using the first one. Can't see the point. Anyway I will soon try to do some iOS development.

Thanks for the info.

Is it true that if you want to develop for iOS 7, you need a version of Xcode that won't run on pre-Mavericks versions of OSX? I thought I saw some words from Apple that suggested this, but I can't find them now.
