Unhilite A Scrolling List?

It's near the end of the day so I'm a bit foggy, but can someone remind me
how to unhilite the lines of a scrolling list field upon opening a card?
I'm pretty sure this came up on the list recently but can't recall the
context.

I need the list to be active, but without any selected line.

Have tried all the usual suspects (disabled autoHilite, traversalOn, focus
on nothing, set hilitedLines to 0, etc)...
