Hi Ken,

First of all, the definition of native isn't entirely clear to me. There are over 500,000 apps in the iTunes store, no matter whether they are called native.

Second, a significant share of those 500,000 are HTML5 apps! It is difficult to say how many, but since there are approximately 30000 apps on Phonegap Build and Build contains only a small part of all apps built while Phonegap takes account of only a part of all HTML5 apps, I'd say that more than 10% of the apps in the iTunes store are HTML5 apps. This is a very careful estimate.

HTML5 isn't a panacea but definitely important and a great solution for me.
