Apple iPad announcement evokes yawn

So, it's not the iPad 3, it's the "New iPad".

Seems to me that the only thing that has happened is that we (developers) now need to worry about 3 display sizes for our iOS apps.  Does this mean that iPod / iPhone apps now get a 2x and a 3x button when running on the new iPad?  I'm digging through the iOS developer docs to see what we can uncover today.
