does Data Grid have a formattedHeight property?

I'm trying to set the height of a data grid based on the formattedHeight property, but as far as I can tell, the formattedHeight of a data grid returns the height. Is this a bug or by design? If by design, is there some other way I can accomplish this? Trevor, are you listening? :-)
