iOS pull-down menu is full screen

I'm using LiveCode 4.6.4 for this.  In a test stack a pull-down menu shows up as full screen on iOS 4.3.  I think a combo box does the same.  I would guess later versions have this fixed, but if there is a quick workaround I'd like to do that.  This doesn't have to look pretty, but something better than full screen would be nice.  

(I thought I had used a menu button that did not do this but maybe not.)

Any ideas?
