For what it's worth: a while ago I did a little stack to draw markers and get
their coordinates. It is in  RevOnline.

The interface is not all that polished, oh well. 

You get two formats of the markers you drew: one to paste into a script (if
you want to set/change markers by script) and one to paste into the property
inspector.
