There was a time several versions back when the easiest way to get
irregularly shaped clickable regions was to use images, but graphic objects
were eventually updated to behave the same way, and using them is way easier
than images since you can define their points/shape dynamically.  You should
be fine using this option cross-platform (noop ink effect has been in the
engine just about forever).
