Many of us do that, I think. All the pages in my on-rev site are irev 
pages, because I use "include" irev statements to build each page. Here 
are two that use both irev and revlets:

The first link shows one way revlets and irev scripting can communicate 
using a typical CGI script. The second link is just for fun.
