OT: Increasing the volume in a movie clip

Hi Ryno

You can easily use something like audacity (free)..
http://audacity.sourceforge.net

.. import/select the faint region and apply the "amiplify" effect.

Depending on how faint the original is you may want to apply a noise 
reduction filter too.

It's fun playing with sound :)
