Hi Tiemo,
i have tried here to access a htaccess protected folder with IE7, Firefox and Rev
Tried the url http://user1:1u2u3u@treiber.multitronic.net/protfolder/index.php in Firefox
Worked.
Tried the url in IE7.
Did not work also due to default security settings.
Look here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834489/EN-US/, if you want change this security settings.
For testing this under Rev i created a button script like this
ON mouseUp
put url "http://user1:1u2u3u@treiber.multitronic.net/protfolder/index.php" into result
answer tResult
END mouseUp
Worked here.
If you want to test, just create a standalone and use my url to see, if the customer gets a "You should see this text!!!" message.
Btw.: It is not obvious for me, why you are redirected to public.com. Was the url correct?
Regards,
Matthias
