Why isn't this a date?

On XP here I get false if the date is before 1/1/70.
So your original example (07/01/77) returns true here. Was that just
poor example you chose. 04/25/68 returns false. (All return true on
OS X. )
Looks like a bad bug. Can anyone else confirm?
