XML Headaches

Hi,

first of all thanks for your time. It appears that the external does not
play nicely with UTF-8 encoding. But there might still be me doing
something wrong. However, it is a blocker for a project at the moment. I
have created an attachment to bug 5215.

http://quality.runrev.com/qacenter/show_bug.cgi?id=5215

This small demo stack trys to work with an external document. The first
document (test3.txt) gets parsed correctly. The other one does not. The
only difference is an accented e (é) in the node contents. This really
should not matter in an UTF-8 encoded document. Should it?

All the best,

Malte
