cProps and umlauts Mac -> Win

Hi Phil, Klaus and David,

thanks for the pointers. Thinking about the binary problem it makes  
sense, however given the simplicity things usually work I am  
sometimes tempted to take things for granted. :-) macToIso / isoToMac  
seems the way to go.
