Philosophy of build numbers

While each person who's replied has a different preference for how the 
build number is displayed, on incrementing they all seem to be in 
agreement that it should be reset with version number changes rather 
than incremented in perpetuity across all versions for the life of the 
product.

That reflects my own preference as sell, and apparently Scott Raney's as 
he used a similar system.
