Setting number of copies in print dialogue

Does anyone know how to set the number of copies that will print on mac os
x? I imagine you have to do this with some kind of tiny applescript that
puts the number of copies in the dialogue. I used to do this manually but
with the new tiger bug that forces me to unchoose a printer and then
re-choose it before I can change the number of copies to print it has become
very time consuming.
