Bill,

You can just take a snapshot of the screen. When you have the graphic looking the way you want it, it cmd-shift-F3 (mac) or alt-printscreen (pc) to take a screen snapshot. Then use a graphics program to save this as a png, adding transparency if you want, and then import it back into the stack as an image.
