Well, you have now!

Actually, there is a 3rd party book called "Software at the Speed of
Thought" which has been highly recommended by numerous members of this
list (I do not have this book myself), look at the left edge of the
RunRev web site (on the home page) to find a link to purchase that book
from RunRev. They sell it for $37.

The author of that book is on this list, too.

You could also look at the "Topics" section of the online
documentation, or search the list archives when you need specific
information.

Indeed, no integrated report editor. There used to be something very
simplistic and basically useless, so it was removed starting with Rev
2.5.

Depending on your needs, there are built-in Transcript commands which
are quite adequate for reporting when printing from a Mac, and
sometimes work out when printing from Windows, too.

There are some font issues when printing within Windows which sometimes
do and sometimes do not cause major headaches. I actually wrote a
little wrapper external for the Win32 GDI (for the parts I needed
anyway) and wrote a Win32 API printing function in Transcript, which is
specific to my current project, in order to work around some of the
problems I was having when printing in Windows. I still use the
built-in stuff for printing on the Mac, though, and for some of the
Windows printouts, since it was only really one type of printout I
couldn't get working for Windows. Basically, if the overall layout is
static and doesn't have page components moving around depending on
complex parameters, you should be able to get it working fine
cross-platform, otherwise there may be some issues for Windows
printing. It always works fine on the Mac.
