MouseChunk with false cursor

How can I use a false cursor (an image that follows the mouse with  
the cursor set to none) that also recognizes MouseChunk, MouseText,  
etc.  It seems that the way I am doing it, the image blocks the mouse  
from "seeing" the text in the field.
