any news on the SQLite front?

Hi Folks,

since we're all talking about databases, I wondered, is there any news 
on the SQLite external? I wanted to deploy database based apps but 
mySQL is just overkill sometimes, you can't tell a newbie user to 
install a MySQL server. And I make heavy use of Queries and equijoins 
so I think Serendipty will not suit me... sad... I like it very much. 
So the only hope for me is SQLite for I spent all my money on my studio 
license and thus there's none for buying valentina.
