Bracketing doesn't help. I've narrowed it down to an even simpler example: set the textStyle of word 1 of the last line of field "chatField" to bold does not work even though set the textStyle of the last line of field "chatField" to bold does work. I think setting a single word chunk's textStyle was supposed to work... doug
