script editor error that drives me insane

I'm also getting this error when using my MLXEditor plugin- which sets 
the script property directly and doesn't use the builtin script editor. 
So I guess it's a compilation problem. But again- when the error 
occurs, just add a blank line in the script, save again- and no error. 
Until the compiler says the script is bad again after some more 
editing. I wish I could come up with a recipe for this one.
