Grabbing groups

I think this came up earlier but I can recall the context or the solution.

I have a group consisting of a couple of circular arc 
segments--simulating a lens, like so: (). The group script is: on 
mouseDown,  grab me.

The problem is that it is necessary for the mouse to be located 
precisely on one of the lines for the group to get the mouseDown 
message.  What I need is a script that will grab and move the group 
whenever the mouse is down *within the figure* not just on one of the 
perimeter lines. A little help please.
