   AVI files don't *have to* be humongously oversized. Open that monster up 
in QuickTIme Player, select EXPORT from the File menu, and experiment with 
various codec settings. Doing this, I once brought a 7.3-MB AVI down to 860K. 
If you're willing to abandon AVI, you *can* achieve further reductions (as a 
standard QuickTime MooV file, it bottomed out at 220K), but no matter which 
way you go, you can do better than 10+ MB...
