Only cross programmer problems.

A new programmer might read over some code for serial or tcp/ip I/O 
several times before realizing the CR in the script should be changed 
to numToChar(13).  I might.

Fortunately, it is possible to write scripts so that these issues only 
come up in the isolated low level I/O and all other layers use the 
standard line end, whatever the name.
