Undocumented image problem

The RR documentation tells us that the ideal image format is
JPEG for cross-platform conformity.

This is not entirely true:

This refers to MACINTOSH STANDALONES ....... ONLY

When your standalone is delivered from a CD-ROM, ..... OR
.... from a SERVER (found that one out, to my cost,
yesterday)

JPEGS do not show up !!!!

Images have to be converted to the RunRev internal bitmap
format.......this is a BIG SHAG

as the only way to do this is to edit each image, after it
has been imported, using the paint palette (Thanks Klaus!).
